DESCRIPTION
Nervastral Bitu-Rap is a cross-linked polyethlene sheet permanently laminated to a rubber-asphalt membrane. Applied to the inner substrate in a cavity wall it provides superior moisture protection.
BITU-RAP provides a strong adhesion to the substrate and is readily conformable to the surface.

APPLICATION
Surfaces must be dry and free of dust or other foreign matter. Surfaces mays be primed with NERVAKOTE 103A applied with brush or roller at a rate of 300 sq.ft. per gallon. Primed surface should be dry-tack-free before proceeding.

BITU-RAP is applied horizontally beginning 2" from the top of the wall and extending to the bottom overlaps should be a minimum of 2".

Termination at the top of the wall shall be counter flashed with a separate 4" wide stripof BITU-RAP.

Bottom termination shall extend over a separate strip of BITU-RAP which will be placed over the footing to the edge and 4"-6" up the vertical wall.

PRECAUTIONS
The wall must be designed so that the dew point is located outside of the BITU-RAP system. NERVASTRAL, INC. shall not responsible for the damages resulting from condensation between the BITU-RAP and the interior of the building.
